What roles have women been playing in the Iranian society throughout history?

Dear Editor,
This paper discusses the progression of the women of Iran throughout the course of Iran’s history. It gives us an insight about the struggles and the difficulties they faced and goes in depth into how they overcame those. The reason why it is important to know about these women is because it allows us to encourage more women facing similar form of exploitation to stand up and fight for their rights like these women of Iran. By learning about the women of Iran we also acknowledge and appreciate their persistence and tenacity in achieving their rights. They can be considered as role models for further feminist movements, they aspire everyone in being able to do anything if you have the right mindset and consistency throughout time.

Discussing further upon the development of women rights all the way from the Qajar dynasty to the Islamic Republic of Iran helps us get a deeper look into how they managed to get it done. Slowly influencing the economy of Iran when there was a shortage of workforce and pressuring the administration alongside wealthy and educated women as representation for the women all over the country, these were a few ways with which the Iranian women demonstrated their capability. The Iranian women strived to get out of the social norms of being just a housewife and an asset meant to be exploited by men.
